Chris Brown-Rihanna Fight:Herpes,Break up or Jay Z the cause?

By now the story of the Chris Brown domestic assault on Rihanna is old news but fans and the media are still wondering what led to the violent fight. The reports on exactly why the two R&B stars were fighting are varied and so far neither camp is speaking out.
Some celebrity gossip sites are reporting that Rihanna gave Chris Brown herpes which led to the fight. Speculation is that she cheated on him (by some accounts with a very married-to-Beyonce-Knowles Jay-Z) and contracted herpes which she then passed on to him. These reports are nothing more than gossip and have been neither confirmed nor denied by reps for either star.

Sources allegedly close to Brown allege that the fight leading to the domestic violence incident occurred because Rihanna gave Chris Brown herpes.
And how did Rihanna end up with an STD to begin with? Claims are that she picked it up from Jay-Z!
Brown would have found out about the Herpes due to the symptoms: the signs of infection typically appear as one or more blisters on or around the genitals or rectum. The blisters break, leaving tender ulcers (sores) that may take two to four weeks to heal.

Other reports state that Chris Brown wanted to break up with Rihanna and that she was not happy about the idea. The fight is said to have broken out when she refused to get out of the vehicle they were riding in after he had ended their relationship. Again, these reports have not been confirmed.
A person close to the situation told MediaTakeOut.com that the scuffle was caused by the couple’s recent break up. As MediaTakeOut.com reported to you weeks ago, the couple had been ratcheting down on their high-profile love affair. Numerous sources confirmed to MediaTakeOut.com that Chris wanted to END the relationship - but Rihanna didn’t.
Both of these top Internet rumors have a "blame the victim" quality to them that should not be ignored. Adding to the growing controversy are suggestions that Rihanna does not want to press charges. While again, this has neither been confirmed nor denied by Rihanna's reps, the clear implication is that she has something to hide.
While the L.A. Times claims that Rihanna is “cooperating” with police, E! News is claiming that Rihanna IS NOT cooperating fully with police. Specifically, she’s refusing to answer questions surrounding why the couple argued. Here’s what E! News is reporting:“Rihanna has been reluctant to reveal to investigators specifically what the couple had been arguing about before it turned physical.”
Reports from Rolling Stone suggest that the couple was on the outs earlier on as Rihanna did not wait around to watch Chris Brown after her Grammy rehearsal ended, Friday. Rolling Stone says that Brown was "cranky and sullen" at the rehearsals and he arrived at an after party that night by himself.
Rolling Stone has learned that on Friday, the day before the incident, Brown was picked up at 1:30 p.m. from his the London Hotel and went to the Staples Center for Grammy rehearsals. Rihanna had rehearsed earlier that morning, but by noon, “she was long gone,” says a Grammy source. Brown’s rehearsal started late and ran from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and “was pretty nondescript. He came in with an enormous posse, then rehearsed the song six or seven times. There were a lot of dance moves and some issues with that, but otherwise it was pretty uneventful,” the source says. “Afterwards, he did look kind of cranky and sullen. He did not look approachable at all.”
Later that night, Brown arrived alone for Rihanna and Timbaland’s party at Blvd 3 where she performed “Shut Up and Drive,” among other hits. The pair spent some time in the VIP area, but Brown was also making the rounds alone a lot.
Regardless of whether or not the herpes, infidelity, or break up rumours prove to be true, none of these things are excuses for Chris Brown to assault Rihanna. Her refusal to press charges, again if true, does not mean she deserved to be hurt. Domestic violence is a real and persistent problem in North America and sadly this case is shedding light on the tendency to look for blame in the victim.
No matter what caused the fight unless Chris Brown felt his life was at risk he had no lawful right to lay a hand on Rihanna. Scandalous accusations and gossip-driven speculation aside that is one thing we can all know is true.
