Usher's Wife Suffered Cardiac Arrest During Plastic Surgery
Tameka-Foster Raymond, suffered as a near-fatal plastic-surgery complication in Brazil.People magazine reported that when Foster-Raymond traveled to Brazil to have liposuction on her stomach two months after giving birth to the couple's second son, she had a dangerous reaction to the anesthetic."Tameka Raymond came here on Friday to do a liposuction. Shortly after she went under [general] anesthesia, she suffered a cardiac arrest," said Ellen Dasptry, a representative for Sao Paulo, Brazil plastic surgeon Silvio Sterman, who was to have performed the surgery. Foster-Raymond was revived after less than a minute using heart massage.Foster-Raymond, 38, never had the procedure, and after the cardiac arrest, doctors immediately put her into a medically induced coma to stabilize her. "When an attack like this happens, the doctors put the patient to sleep ... and make sure that everything is OK and that there has not been any damage," Dasptry said. "This is the protocol every time and this is what was done." Foster-Raymond spent a day in the intensive care unit and was transferred to another hospital, considered one of Brazil's finest. Local rapper Chris Lynell Jackson, known professionally as Nussie, was shot and killed Monday night in a house on America Street, relatives said at the crime scene.
Police spokesman Capt. Carl Kelley said that officers responding to a report of a shooting found a man shot and injured in the 2500 block of North Boulevard around 11:24 p.m.
That man told them that another man had been shot in a house nearby, Kelley said.Officers responded and found a deceased man with a gunshot wound in a house at 2317 America St., between Evergreen Drive and Delphine Street.
Kelley declined to release the identity of the deceased, but Jackson's sister Ashley Richardson said her brother was the man inside the house.
Over 50 people crowded around the crime scene tape into the early morning hours. Detectives were waiting to have a search warrant drawn up and signed before they went back into the house, Kelley said.

Some celebrity gossip sites are reporting that Rihanna gave Chris Brown herpes which led to the fight. Reports from Rolling Stone suggest that the couple was on the outs earlier on as Rihanna did not wait around to watch Chris Brown after her Grammy rehearsal ended, Friday. Rolling Stone says that Brown was "cranky and sullen" at the rehearsals and he arrived at an after party that night by himself.
Rolling Stone has learned that on Friday, the day before the incident, Brown was picked up at 1:30 p.m. from his the London Hotel and went to the Staples Center for Grammy rehearsals. Rihanna had rehearsed earlier that morning, but by noon, “she was long gone,” says a Grammy source. Brown’s rehearsal started late and ran from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and “was pretty nondescript. He came in with an enormous posse, then rehearsed the song six or seven times. There were a lot of dance moves and some issues with that, but otherwise it was pretty uneventful,” the source says. “Afterwards, he did look kind of cranky and sullen. He did not look approachable at all.”
Later that night, Brown arrived alone for Rihanna and Timbaland’s party at Blvd 3 where she performed “Shut Up and Drive,” among other hits. The pair spent some time in the VIP area, but Brown was also making the rounds alone a lot.

L.L. Cool J was born James Todd Smith on January 14, 1968, in Bay Shore, Long Island, New York, to James and Ondrea Smith. Todd, as he was called, did not have a very happy childhood. At the age of four, he saw his mother and grandfather shot by his own father. After they recovered from their injuries, his mother began to date a young physical therapist she met while in the hospital. The therapist treated Ondrea kindly, but for years he abused Todd physically and verbally, which resulted in Todd becoming a bully himself. It was during this period that he started wearing hats all the time (one of L.L. Cool J's trademarks is the fact that people never see him without a hat on--until recently). Fortunately, Ondrea finally discovered what this man was doing to her son and left him.As he grew older, Todd found a way to escape the effects of his abuse and his bullying attitude: hip-hop music. He fell in love with it at the age of nine, and by 11 he was writing lyrics and making his own songs with some DJ equipment his grandfather gave him. At 15, he and one of his best friends came up with his present stage name, L.L. Cool J, which means "Ladies Love Cool James."In 1984, when L.L. was 16, he met Rick Rubin, a student at NYU, who gave him his big break in music. Rick really liked L.L.'s music and decided to try to get him a record deal. Together, they made the single "I Need a Beat" and sent it to an artist manager named Russell Simmons. Simmons loved the single, and, in the same year, Rick and Russell co-founded the famous Def Jam Recordings; L.L.'s debut album, "Radio," released in 1985, after securing a distribution deal for Def Jam with Columbia/CBS Records, was the label's first long-playing release. Even today, L.L. is considered one of Def Jam's most prized possessions.1985 was also the year L.L. started his acting career. He first appeared in Krush Groove (1985), which is a semi-biographical account of the early days of Def Jam Recordings. L.L. had a cameo appearance in the film.
